Privacy policy

Fairlead Hospitality Search recruits senior managers for hotels and lodges in South Africa. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), we are the responsible party for the personal information you share with us through this site. Our information officer is the founder, Anele Jacobs.

Only what you type into a form on this site:

• your name, email address and phone number
• if you are hiring: the property and the role you need to fill
• if you are looking: the role you want and your CV
• anything you write in the message box.

The site does not track your visit, run analytics or set cookies.

To reply to you, to understand a hiring brief, to match candidates with roles and to keep you up to date on a search you are part of. We use it for nothing else, and we never sell it.

Every CV form on this site has one box to tick: “Fairlead may keep my details and CV to match me with roles, as set out in the privacy policy.” Without that tick the form will not send.

We keep a CV for two years after your last contact with us and then delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. It goes to a hotel or lodge only after you have agreed to that introduction.

Only Anele and any property you have agreed to be introduced to. The companies that host this site and our email handle information for us under written agreements. Some may store it outside South Africa, so we only use providers that protect it to the standard POPIA requires.

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Write to us and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator.

Every page and form on this site travels over HTTPS, an encrypted connection, so nobody can read what you type on its way to us. CVs and hiring briefs are kept in one password-protected system that only Anele can open.

This site is for adults who are hiring or looking for work. Please do not send us information if you are under 18.

If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with the date it took effect. This version took effect on 1 October 2026.
