What we build

Single-room additions through to multi-unit developments. Every job runs on the same discipline: signed-off drawings, a fixed schedule, and a foreman who does not vanish once the deposit clears.

New builds

Start to finish from foundation to final coat, run by one site team the whole way through.

Renovations & additions

Room additions, second storeys and full renovations, built around families still living there.

Civil & groundworks

Site clearing, foundations, retaining walls and stormwater, built to engineer spec.

Maintenance & snagging

Structural repairs, waterproofing and defect lists closed out without chasing.

Why Cape Town builds with Klipbank

A small, senior team. Not a call centre with a fleet of vans. The person who quotes your job is the person who checks it on site, and you keep one point of contact until the keys are handed over.

How a job actually runs

No mystery, no radio silence. Four stages, each one signed off before the next begins.

Start yours
  1. We look, then we price

A site visit, your drawings where they exist, and a written itemised quote. Materials, labour and preliminaries listed separately so you can see what you are paying for and cut scope if you want to. Valid 30 days, no obligation.

  2. Programme before spade

You get a written schedule with milestone dates, the name and mobile number of your foreman, and confirmation of every certificate before anyone breaks ground.

  3. Build, with the phone on

Weekly progress updates and photographs. Anything unforeseen gets stopped, priced and approved by you in writing before it proceeds. No surprise invoices at the end.

  4. Snag, sign, hand over

We walk the job with you, list every defect, close them out, and hand over with certificates and guarantees in one file. The site leaves clean.

Built once. Built right.

  • Fixed written quotes Itemised, valid 30 days, no verbal estimates
  • Engineer sign-off Structural certification on every project

How do you quote a job?

We visit site, work from drawings where available, and give a written itemised quote, not a rough estimate. Materials, labour and preliminaries are listed separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for and adjust scope if you want to.

Quotes stay valid for 30 days and there is no obligation to proceed.

Are you insured and registered?

Yes. Public liability cover, COIDA registration and SACPCMP-registered site supervision on every project. Certificates are handed over with the quote, not promised later.

Do you work on occupied homes?

Regularly. Roughly half our renovations happen with the family still living there. We section off work areas with dust sheeting, keep noisy work inside agreed hours, and leave the house lockable and safe every evening.

What happens if the price changes mid-build?

Nothing gets charged that you have not approved in writing first. If something unforeseen appears once walls are open, we stop, price the variation, and you decide before we carry on. Surprise invoices at handover are the fastest way to lose a client, so we do not send them.

Who is actually on my site day to day?

One named foreman for the whole project, plus our own trade teams. We do not hand your job to a sub-contractor you have never met. You get that foreman's mobile number on day one.

Do you handle plans and council approval?

We work with an architect and engineer we have used for years, and we manage the submission on your behalf. If your plans are already approved, we build to them as drawn.

What areas do you cover?

Cape Town and surrounds, including the Northern Suburbs, Winelands and West Coast. Send your address and we will confirm before quoting.

How long does a typical renovation take?

A bathroom is usually 3 to 4 weeks, a kitchen 4 to 6, a second-storey addition 4 to 6 months. Every quote carries a written schedule with milestone dates before we start, and we flag slippage the week it happens rather than at the end.
